Public Art Agency Sweden – Identity 2013
The Public Art Agency Sweden required a brand new identity reflecting its mission to present contemporary art in public spaces.
Exploring how handwritten text can signal identity, Ritator designed a 12-tip pen, which artist Marco Cueva subsequently made. In consultation with leading calligrapher Marianne Pettersson Soold, a new logo for The Public Art Agency Sweden was conceived using the pen. The result is a compelling logotype where order and chance meet, an ode to Jan Tschichold’s hand drawn alphabet ‘Switzerland.’
