The Royal Institute of Art - On Publishing 2011
When The Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, organised the multidisciplinary exhibition and public programme ‘On Publishing’ in 2011, Ritator designed a graphic identity and posters.
The graphic identity drew inspiration from the history of printing. Ritator built ‘The Print Machine’ to print posters for this event. As an idea and device, it pays homage to Gutenberg’s invention of moveable typefaces and the advent of silk screen-printing later on. This devise was used to print 200 unique posters, which successfully communicated ‘On Publishing’ on several layers.
